The Hands of Respect have been invited to be part of the Baltimore Homecoming 'Parade of Gold' for Michael Phelps and other Olympians on Saturday 4th October 2008.
are an 8 foot tall, 5 ton granite sculpture of a male and female hand placed together to form the symbol for RESPECT.
A 10 ten ton block of granite was quarried by Keystone Memorials in Elberton, Georgia, USA and sawn into two 5 ton blocks, each ready to be carved by well known Athens GA sculptor Stan Mullins.
The Hands of Respect were commissioned to be a tangible example of the symbol for Respect.
